Sea Weed Harvesting on the Afternoon Walk

Yesterday, I was surprised to find this boat harvesting seaweed by my friend Hal's place. The Harvestor had a bunch of seaweed in floating bags tied to a mooring about 200' north of his current position. Sea Weed Harvesting is a bit controversial as many think harvesting the rockweed damages the coast. I've seen this guy out in the summer but did not realize he harvests year round.

Yesterday was quite warm in the morning but now we are supposed to get 10" to 14" of snow later tonight. The temps are supposed to stay cold all week so I may get one more chance at Ice Fishing next weekend. We are going to haul the smelt shed off the ice on Tuesday.
