Its super pretty around here with the new snow we got on Monday. It won't be long before we live in mud city however.
Anyway, on most days after work I walk the dog and this is one of the many views along my way. As long as you are geared up you can not find a better place to walk the dog in the Winter than Capitol Island, Maine. Geared up means covered head to toe and wearing cramp-ons.

Macdaddy
Here is a great picture of a Mac with the Sabiki stuck right in its nose. This Macdaddy is a nice size for a live bit. Fishing with live ones is my favorite style of fishing. I would expect to be catching Macs regularly by the second week of June. However the Macs could show up sooner if we get some warm weather in May.

Winter Update
Its February break for me and anybody else in public school here in Maine. Time for me to work on my winter newsletter. Last weekend I did some ice fishing here in Boothbay and also at my smelt shed.
Lately I have been thinking a lot about the upcoming salt water season. I hope to do a lot more spring fishing. I am hoping to spend some time in May locating flounder.
